Imagine-IT Spring 2 Update

Spring Update 2

Here we are close to completion of our Patterns Project. The class is getting ever more anxious to get into the meat of the project and start creating on their own. I truly believe they are ready and I am proud of what this class has accomplished thus far as well as excited to coach the final projects to completion. Reflecting on where we have been and what we have accomplished:
  • Quickfires (it amazes me at this point how quickly and how well the students accomplish these tasks)
  • WOW's ( our most recent presentation topics have ranged from autism to protozoan parasites)
  •  "Our World of Patterns"  The projects span from patterns in nature to patterns in forensic science
  • Our class is using Google Classroom to chat about patterns topics as well as assignments
  • Countless pattern activities and problems the students have mastered
As the teacher/coach of this 8th grade class I am amazed and proud of each students accomplishments thus far and I cannot wait to showcase the final Patterns Websites for our school, school website, and our Network Chief (who if you remember was so impressed with what she saw in our class one day, asked to come back to see the website presentations).
