Bio:
Joanna Calandriello is currently a Middle School Mathematics Teacher at Mildred I. Lavizzo School in Chicago, Illinois. Ms. Calandriello has been teaching in Chicago Public Schools for the past 12 years and was most recently awarded “Third Highest Mathematics Growth In Network 13” and she was recognized by her colleagues as a “Outstanding Teacher Leader in 6 -8th Grade Mathematics”.
Ms. Calandriello is a true Lifelong Learner and her love for learning is evident in her teaching and her professional growth. Ms. Calandriello considers herself globally cognizant having visited 5 of the seven continents during her tenure in the Steel Industry. She believes her love of teaching and learning are enhanced by her understanding of different cultures worldwide.
Ms. Calandriello is currently participating in the MSUrbanSTEM Leadership Fellowship Program through Michigan State University and WIPRO. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Middle School Mathematics from DePaul University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Keller Graduate School.
